This is the third time RVTC is taking part in the completion. The first time the competition was hosted by Brazil, a national gold winner in Plumbing was a trainee from this great Centre. For 2016, RVTC participated but it couldn’t get scoop the top award in any trade despite a silver in Joinery.
For 2019 the Centre vowed to make sure that they leave a mark in the competition. The Centre had representatives in tiling (1 trainee), carpentry (2 trainees), Electrical General (2 trainees) and Automotive industry 1 trainee. RVTC scooped 2 gold medals in Automotive and Carpentry while in Electrical General they got a bronze. Despite that, the Centre also scooped the trophy on the overall trainee with the highest points. This was in Automotive trade where Sandu got 96 points.
Joy from the RVTC staff members who were present at the event was witnessed all over the conference hall. With Valombola VTC being a challenge, RVTC promised to get the Presidential cup which was scooped by VVTC on more medals. The RVTC Management and staff members were seen on full force to give support to their trainees. The event was officially closed by the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Kandjii Murangi.
We are the most admired VTC in Namibia.
